The investigation is bigger than us
Journalists, researchers, lawyers, political workers, citizens and civil society organisations are working on this, most of them for longer than we have been.
We are not claiming this work as our own. This is an index of evidence and investigations already in the public domain. Every item names whoever made it and links to where they published it. We do not mirror other people's journalism, republish their footage, or summarise their findings in a way that saves you from reading them.
If your work is indexed here and you would rather it were not, write to us and it comes down the same day. If your work belongs here and is missing, send us the link.
What gets indexed
- Articles and investigations by named reporters or outlets
- Videos and footage published by their creator
- Legal analysis and case notes
- Documents already public — filings, orders, replies
- Research and data work
Indexing is not endorsement. An item can appear here and still be marked REPORTED rather than VERIFIED in the evidence library. The two are recorded separately.
What does not get indexed
- Anonymous forwards with no traceable origin
- Footage stripped of its creator's attribution
- Material that identifies a person at risk without their consent
- Commentary that adds no document, no footage and no first-hand account
The last is not a judgement on anyone's opinion. An index of opinions is simply a different thing from an index of documents.
